greg...re: "the naz will not be turning around anytime soon.....let's hope i'm wrong"

you refer to 1987....go back a bit further to the early 70's.....compare to today....

difference?... less volume and liquidity...much longer attention span and memory of "investors". caution and prudence which come with a ltb+h style.

today, it's a trading mindset, not just retail but institutional. monies can't be made in stagnant markets, hence the volatility over the last five years. liquidity begets volatility. no safe harbor(bonds) for investment dollars as there was twenty to thirty years ago. monies just shifted to what is perceived a safer sector.

techs out of favor...utilities adored....a bit perverse...but no logic exists....oil prices up on demand, but more then ample supply....history repeats...

only to remember the october 1997 and 1998 global meltdowns....any quality tech bought at that time still profitable!

good luck...the naz, dow, s+p will all be back....sooner then we think!

good luck...ed a.
