GOOD POINT!

I am the guy who loaded up on AMD because of what I judge
to be its intrinsic merit.

Now (at this moment) it's trashed because of INTC.

Can I blame AMD? How many times do they have to repeat
themselves? No doubt some analysts will call them and
they will once more repeat themselves.

Of course we would all like them to say exactly what WE
would want, but I think they know more about the legal
sharkpit in which they operate than we do.

Can we hold on till earnings? I think the situation will
clarify itself by then.

Best wishes,
Jim

Re: It must be so demoralising for AMD people to read this board, finding shit like this when they actually made progress gaining market share

barjo,

Wrong!!

What's demoralising is management f*cking up!!

My company is gaining great marketshare in UNIX servers. What's demoralising is that IBM has made some of the most incompetent management decisions I have ever seen coming out of any company. While I see the investors crow about IBM making some type of comeback in servers, all of us employees are stunned by the shortsightedness of our incompetent management.

That's demoralizing when your company has the best engineers in the world, but your top 100 people make stupid decisions that keep the company from reaching its full potential (in IBM's case in business, in AMD's in stock price). I'm sure many AMD employees would agree with me as much as the IBM employees agree me about my views of our management.

PS- EMC, NSM, and HWP all reiterating guidance this morning. Why doesn't AMD?
