No, no, I didn't mean that, although I am glad to have you acknowledge that the putative shills are not purposely shilling. I mean precisely that the people in charge of the convention are not merely trying to gull people, they are expressing widely felt aspirations to bring minorities more into the fold. Aspirations, as in something one wants to promote and accomplish. Do you think they are so stupid they could not anticipate having it pointed out that few blacks voted Republican, or belonged to the Party?
