All it confirms is what we have been seeing on the store shelves for months. PIII has not been yielding well at high margin frequencies.

There is nothing wrong with the economy.

Scumbria,

I did not say that there was something wrong with the economy..after all Intel is not losing $$$ but rather will experience a shortfall in revenues. What I did say is that the economy is slowing and that the Intel preannouncement adds one more nail to that conclusion.

Its possible that it was completely due to PIII shortfalls but from what I am reading, the shortfalls were only part of the problem..that there is a genuine slowdown in Europe.

Besides, what is wrong with a slowing economy? As long as it doesn't crash, its does not mean the end of the world.
