Rice would be fine NSA, and Powell would be a fine pick for Sec. of State (though, I don't know if his particular skills fit that job, to tell the truth). Warren - hmmm -didn't Eisenhower in his later years say he regretted that choice, and hasn't Warren's name been cursed by generations of Republicans since?

On the other hand, the GOP has Jesse Helms.
