<<Shorts are going to have the best day of their lives today IMHO.>>

JDN, And they should by all means available.People were warned and cautioned to no end.

But in this rotten, rodent, cut and paste society anyone who is not connected to the general BS is laughed at.

As far as VLNC is concerned I merely asked Mr.Wexler about the stock because he knows much more about those non explosive batteries from N.I as I do. I played around with the stock for small gains and yesterday I went all out and went short on it.

Regards,

ED

Actually it seemed like a pretty decent day to be a long. In fact I added to my positions in JDSU, NT and CIEN at the opening this AM....I think they get much of the credit for INTC's shortfall. Frankly, what I think we are seeing here is some good old fashioned rotation.

Maybe there is a recession next year. Who knows. But I don't think your characterization is at all justified.

To quote the famous phrase:"I'm not dead yet."

Absolute pronouncements this year have left a lot of roadkill in their wake, long and short.

Anyone who shorted the open without stops was toasted. Long-term shorts may have finished flat if they were lucky.
