Maxgo:

I'd add to that post that, as usual, I was a little early with that initial trading position at $64! But I'd also add that I took the opportunity of the dip to under $56 to add more as QCOM recovered, and then piled on some October calls the first week in September as it started to pick up steam. I almost took those calls out at $78 for a triple, and again yesterday at $72 for a double, but I'm still sitting on them.

As far as the IPO is concerned, I agree with you that the IPO registration is probably ready to go. Goldman/Lehman have already shopped the IPO to institutional buyers and the large retail brokers, and they have a good idea of what they can price at. Either market conditions are delaying the registration, or there is something definitive in the works for QCOM/Spinco which will allow them to hike the IPO price because of improved future prospects for Spinco.

My bet's on the latter. I think this thing is in the first or second innings, and that the $85-$95 target could easily be achieved or even exceeded by the IPO.

JM2cW as usual.
