Dave, Re: Kumar just on CNBC blew off AMD, saying that Intel can supply 120% of demand right now

Kumar is clearly clueless. If Intel could supply 120% of demand right now why would they spending billions of dollars to add capacity? Kumar made a great call last week with his downgrade but probably not because of good research but because he has still many friends at Intel (he was a manager there some years ago) and got insider information from them.

re: "Kumar just on CNBC blew off AMD, saying that Intel can supply 120% of demand right now and AMD would "pick up the roadkill"...."

True enough if the market wants a preponderance of slow, overprice, lethargic, past generation, and glitchy chips. The capacity is there. inteL is now the "ROADKILL" and this asS... kumaR just does not get it. Maybe he will catch on on the day that he shows up for work and notices a name on the door of his office that he had previously occupied other than his own. hiS desk and fileS, I understand, are currently being moved into the meN's room.
