a) No stock is untouchable even INTC. Can you say Transmetta!

Sure Intel needs to look out for Transmetta, but come on... what is currently happening has little or nothing to do with them.

regards,
cAPSLOCK

Lenny,
Thanks! You wrote about The Humble One:
<<d) I repeat, anybody having 47% of their total dollars in one stock is a moron in my book. >>

I am glad to be a happy moron. A portfolio drop this morning of 10 mil is really no big deal.

The real looser is my wife to whom the Humble One promised a new car when the portfolio had doubled on YTD basis. Realizing that it was not going to happen this year, I went to Home Depot an got her an electric hedge clipper. I figure that should hold her 'at bay' until I get in a more generous mood.

As we look at past successes of stock market return, which has a 67% (now 57%) compounded annually return since 1991 (before the drop today), we are still in a very happy mood around this house.
Our health is great and money is "small potatoes" and only used for the fun game of playing monopoly. We are counting our blessings.

If you can't stand the 'heat' don't play!...piously humble carl

PS: Is the s*camx stock that you referred to not called Transmeta?
