Ironically, the market was pre-disposed to expect a sell-off in this time frame, a situation that often needs a "capitulation sell off" catalyst before money sitting on the sidelines jumps in. This bad piece of news about Intel may serve as that catalyst. So far, AMD has reacted well considering - money is coming in to pick it up from the open. Although I wouldn't expect it to be off to the races, if you were just starting to look into AMD rather than having the burden of already holding it, I would call this a great buying cycle period.
