Elmer, >This is an overreaction of the first magnitude and will blow over.

So, is the first in first magnitude like a big overreaction, like a 7 or 8 on the Richter Scale, or third degree burns? In other words, I assume you think it's overdone?

Elmer,
Thanks, margin holding up fine. In fall of 1997 I learned my lesson. They were giving me more than the 50% limit. One discount broker that I have, allows buying power down to 37% equity and starts issuing calls when equity falls below 35%.

I have learned to compute my buying power and seldom go below 50% equity.

Things are looking great. Instead of having a compounded yearly average stock gain of about 67% over a 10 year period, I now have a 57% gain (due to the opening drop in the market this morning).

This is only money and the game is called Monopoly. Being Healthy is much more important, and for that we have much to be thankful for...humble carl
