That was EXACTLY my initial reaction too. However, that seems a bit unusual, doesn't it?

I had thought about that possibility too. Perhaps that's what's happening?

In any case, it's reassuring to know I'm not the only one that's not clear about what this development means.

Dan, the QQQ is an index of stocks, not a futures contract. It may well be used in hedging strategies, but in theory, it should move as the component of its stocks are moving, Don't know what % of the QQQ INTC is, buy i'd guess its about 4-5%, so shouldn't be a major factor. larry
