"Although we are disappointed that sequential
revenue growth in the September quarter is less than
we had expected," PaineWebber said, "We note that
the year-over-year revenue growth implied by Intel's
revised guidance is 17 percent, which is still a good
number for PC-related markets."

Credit Suisse First Boston also lowered its estimates
for Intel, while maintaining its "strong buy" rating
and $100 price target. CSFB now projects
third-quarter revenues of 38 cents earnings per share,
down from 43 cents.

"One of the reasons we remained bullish on Intel
earlier this week, and still are even after the
pre-announcement," CSFB wrote in a morning
research note, "is that corporate demand in the U.S.
has picked up in September, with laptop and server
demand shipping in strength."

<<By the way, will supreme court rule on Monday, Sept 25th?
>>

John, it is really not a good idea to rely on the judicial system to cure any injustices. The outcome of ANY lawsuit is 50/50 and will always be 50/50.

How can you bet with those odds?

JMO, Bob.
