Eric, RE: Bear markets don't start in this climate, not on the cusp of interest rate cuts.

Every bear market starts for a different reason.

It would be folly to look to past bear markets as a predictive measure.

I don't think intervention will help the Euro in the long run. Europeans need to become more competitive in their actions before people will want to invest there. Why invest in semi-socialism, when it has been financially destructive anywhere it is practiced?

OTOH The INTC situation is rash and overdone. For a 2-3 cent reduction. i.e., 41 down to 38-39 in earnings, the stock is down from 75 to todays 48-49 over the past 3 weeks. And that drags down the whole market. Who the hell is managing money?knc
