<Bob. It comes form Gold Fields. I posted the link a few months back, but never bookmarked it. There are a handful of mines who's full replacement costs are well below $400/oz, but the average according to Gold Fields is about $400. >

I still find it very difficult to believe. The handful of mines are huge mines with total projected costs near $200, which should push the average way down. There are many ounces of very profitable gold projects available at current prices. Maybe just Gold Fields can't find gold at under $400 per ounce ? <grin>
