idealist1, please excuse my foolish ignorance on this subject, but I was wondering if what we're seeing are those that shorted over the last few weeks are now covering and that's giving us a false sense that there are buyers out there? Is it possible that once the shorts are covered there will be a lack of buyers and the strain of their absence will cause a further fall in the markets? Could we be seeing some stocks, that didn't have a high percentage of short positions (or the shorts were covered last week negating them) experiencing a decline today while those with a high short percentage are rising/stalling? What happens when the margin calls go out? I only ask because I don't short or position trade and I don't utilize margin.

I agree, didn't pick up anything either, and I could be totally wrong as well. As they say at times it is "better to err on the side of caution" (did I get that quote right LOL - experiencing mind frazzle this morning!)

TIA
