From a purely global perspective euro must survive. I understand the problem in helping/saving the currency but I think all parties in power want the same end--a stable euro vis a vis the dollar. And if the US helps europe here perhaps we get the anti-trust eurocrat regulators off our back a bit. And if the US can take down the price of oil in a non-belligerent way, all will be rosy again.
