*grin* no. The O column will be erased if we print 3950 today. Otherwise the O column stands. We reverse back into Xs if we print 3800 tomorrow.

It goes something like this:

If we're in a column of Xs:
Look at the day high. If we are higher than the current high on the column so we can print more Xs, print more Xs. Otherwise, look at the day low to see if we reversed down by 3 boxes. If we did, move the column over, print Os down to the low (complete boxes).

Vice versa if we were in a column of Os.

So in our COMPQX example, the top of the X column is at 3900. We didn't go higher, but the day low was 3+ boxes below so we moved over and drew the column of Os. Since this is intraday, if we manage to actually get up to 3950, the column of Os will be erased and instead the X column will be extended. But if the chart was only updated at the end of the day, and we closed below 3950, we'd see the column of Os.
