LV, I tend to agree that Gore might have more resolve in an international crisis. He has more of the stature that we expect in a President, and would try to do the right thing even if it was wrong.

On the other hand, Bush does have Cheney at his side. But with Bush I always think there must be somebody else calling the shots and he is just a puppet.

Can you believe these are the best two America has to offer.

Bottom line, Gore's lack of integrity really turns me off. And do we really want Tipper as a first lady.

Also, if something happens to Gore, Lieberman scares me. I'm sure he is a great and good man, but he reminds me of a manic depressive. He also, like Bush, looks like an emperor in new clothes. Both men have been shoved into positions that they really aren't up to.

<<Any same side House and Pres would be bad for the market, conversely any mixed combination good for the market.>>

Couldn't agree with you more.

It's also what is wrong with Kudlos arguments about the market reacting the way it is because Gore pulled ahead in the poles - even if Gore is elected it's doubtful that the Dems will overtake Congress and there's no way he'd be able to get all that regulation through.
