Alliance currently expects to report record second quarter sales of $60 million to $62 million. This would represent a sequential increase of approximately 26% - 31% from the fiscal first quarter sales of $47.4 million, and a 214% - 225% increase from the year-ago fiscal second quarter sales of $19.1 million. Revenues for the first half of fiscal year 2001 are now expected to be approximately $107 million to $109 million, an increase of 191-196%. Alliance also currently expects to report fully-diluted earnings per share of $0.19 to $0.21 for the fiscal second quarter based on the results of operations, and excluding gains from sales of marketable securities and other non-operating items. According to N.D. Reddy, President and CEO, "Bookings remain strong, with total backlog continuing to exceed $100 million. The average selling prices for SRAMs and DRAMs are higher than in the prior quarter." Mr. Reddy continued, "Our major sales focus over the past year has been in the non-PC market segments, including networking, communications, wireless and consumer which now exceed 80% of our revenue base. These markets remain strong. Sales for the year may now be expected to exceed $200 million, which would be more than double our sales in fiscal 2000." Alliance expects to report its fiscal second quarter earnings on October 17, 2000 at the close of market.
