John,

how have you positioned your assets to take advantage of what you see coming?

I work with guys who are 40 and are ready to retire as a result of the semiconductor stock hype. The Bubble is producing dramatic distortions in all sorts of economic activities that wouldn't happen if you had a barter system. But introduce a fiat currency, a stock market, and Bubblevision, and all sorts of illogical shenanigans start to happen.

The thing that gets me is this: for years, options have been an excellent way to reward hard work at small companies. You build a company, take it public, and those responsible reap huge gains. But now, you take a market with everyone tripping all over everyone else to find the next Intel, and people are being rewarded for things they haven't even done yet.

There's just one problem with that: if you reward someone for something they haven't yet done, then they might just decide they don't need to do it...
