This hammer has more substance than a doji after a 1-2 day move, as long as the lower shadow is the lower point of the immediate trend. What would make hammer inconclusive, not than anything is conclusive in this market, is if the lower shadow was higher than the previous days, which was not the case today.

Here is another candlestic observation I have made. Very long leg candles can at times be a hint that the move is limited. This is subjective and not in the textbook, but then again I am not a text-book candlestic-er.

The longer the pattern/move the better for the candlestic, is my basic rule.
