You are proposing that people stuck in jobs paying $5-8 per hour should be educated and motivated to achieve superiors-paying jobs. Who, then, will take their place? Tom

As for elderly not being about to buy drugs... that is what medicare is for... And if you're telling me that a patient who needs certain prescription drugs in order to survive can't get them, I would like to see some documented specific examples... Just read the papers, i am sure they can document this. This is one of the issues of the election prescription drugs re medicare coverage. HMO's are trying to reduce said coverage also as it too costly for them. I respect anyone who does a good job of what they do. If being janitor is their chosen field they are probably the most meticulous of all in their profession. I don't have the attitude your phd is better than mine . I like to lead my life thinking each person i meet can give to me a wee bonus. I try to treat all people with respect and ever hold open the door to new knowledge
