"Nice close for AMD today. The market came back strong, while Intel closed at its lows. Bodes well for AMD next week."

Comment: I'm thinking north of $30 on Monday, now that the worm is turning and AMD's awesome execution in Y2000 is starting to be seen by some analysts for what it is...Awesome product lineup is starting to gain coverage as well...Several analysts have commented on AMD's competitive presence in the top end, something most have never before acknowledged!!!

Not to beat a dead horse, but once again that $48.50 number has surfaced, only this time camouflaged as $24.25, a point that seemed to demarcate the lower boundary on this pass...not the sticky upper boundary we saw earlier this year...

Looks to me like the the major upper and lower boundaries are now established at $24.50 and $48.50 once again...We've just tested the lower boundary...Now it's time once again to resume the upward bias towards $48.50...If Q3 earnings turn out to be a 4th successive record breaking quarter (which I think they will be) we might not be waiting too long before testing $48.50 once again...The current price of $26-1/2 discounts the disaster scenario...Not only no disaster in sight for AMD but a Y2001 profit picture that may make Y2000's phenomenal $2.50 eps (probably $3.50) look tame owing to rising ASP's and rising volumes...
