No way were the walls crumbling down today. I hope you are not inferring that I suggested that. I do not think the walls are ever crumbling down. I leave that silliness for the permabears.

I do, however, think that the highs for the year may have occurred in March. And it is quite possible that we have moved into a long-term, grinding bear market similar to the early 1970s. There is increasing evidence of this.

No crash. Just a tough, mean market that belts bulls on the way down and burns bears on the strong fakes higher. Bear markets hurt everyone ... especially the folks who want them to occur.

They do, however, occur.
