In the case of the US, the women representatives and senators are people who can stand on their own merit.

Dubya is also part of dynasty in that sense. Important thing is the electorate did not hesitate to re elect them so many times. Some women senators in US are also elected on the seats vacated by their fathers or have extensive political background. Kathleen Kennedy, Susan Colins et al come to mind.
