Ken, I was pondering this as well. Saudi Arabia has been cooperative thus far, but they have stated publically that a drawdown from the SPR would be met with production cuts. And why shouldn't it? If the U.S. chooses to intervene in the markets, OPEC will likely respond in kind. As far as Sadaam goes, well, he has his own agenda and will doubtless rattle the sabres ahead of the U.N. hearing on sanctions no matter what was done with the SPR....

Should be some interesting commentary from the Saudis, the Kuwaitis, and Rodriguez this weekend. Have a good one!
