Egyptian worker kills employer, eats him and drinks his blood

The 28-year-old worker was enraged at his 56-year-old employer for firing him

September 22, 2000, 05:24 AM
CAIRO (AFP English) - An Egyptian worker stabbed his employer to death, then ate his
flesh and drank his blood in an old Cairo mosque after he
was fired from his job renovating the holy site, police said
Thursday.

The 28-year-old worker was enraged at his 56-year-old employer for firing him after only a
day’s work at Al-Kordi mosque and docking him two pounds from the agreed 15 pounds
(four dollars) wage, they added.

Ahmed Hashem locked the mosque door and stabbed his employer, Abdel Aziz Mahmud,
25 times, then slit his throat to drink his blood and cut off pieces of his flesh to eat.

Alerted by the victim’s cries, passers-by called the police who smashed down the door to
discover the ghoulish crime.

We rally into the election. Bush is TOAST.

In retrospect, the market was broadcasting all day that it knew oil would be released. This new oil will moderate the prices of HO and gasoline for the next few months - Europe has spare refinery capacity and so does Asia. Oil that is not imported here will be refined there, and the pressure on the tanker market will also ease because of several reasons; refined products need less tanker space, and the distance between the source of crude and the refinery will be reduced.

In short, inflation will retreat and the bull will advance. OPEC will stand idly by for the time being - perhaps after the election things will change.

We might go down a bit more next week, but 30 million barrels changes everything. I wait. Eventually the SPR will be seen as half empty.
