AMD...26+ after market

I loaded more AMD into my port in the high 23's this morn.

Cant wait till Monday. Analysts now all talking about how AMD might be taking away INTC marketshare in upper end processors.

Also took KOPN for a lovely 2 7/8 pt ride today along with the usual suspects we normally trade.

COVD....called the bottom....easy call

Great weekend!!

MPWR! Massive short squeeze in the making, just like CRDS. Rande, I'm so glad you brought the subject up the other day. There's no question what these clowns' intentions are by filing these class action suits. MPWR got hit with one yesterday, conveniently after INTC's warning @ 4:30, and another one today. If the intent isn't obvious by the timing on this, I don't know what is. Read the company's response to the 1st suit. Then let me make a couple of observations.

suit 1: biz.yahoo.com
and the second:
biz.yahoo.com

Here's the rebuttal to the 1st one...read the bold sentence.

The company is literally trading at book value and building a nationwide SDLN service that will open in every major city by 2001.

Now the shorts have beaten this down about as much as they could and yet the stock closed higher today. As a matter of fact, I noticed REDI shorting on the ask during the last 30 minutes of trading when the stock wanted to uptick. They kept refreshing the ask with 1000 shares, and investors kept eating them.

Now the ? remains, have they covered yet, because the stock budged only 1/8 of a point in A/H's trading yesterday and then upticked before the open today.

Now the fun part. There is close to 5mil shares short on this puppy from 3mil in August. Another obvious sign that these BS lawsuits were on the way. Where in the hell are these people getting the shares. Therefore, there are many different firms and organizations who are in on this. IMHO, you will see one of the biggest short squeezes imaginable if investors start popping the ask with relentless buying. It set a 52 week low yesterday @ 5 7/8, but then quickly recovered, before the close. Today, it opened @ 6 and stayed around 6 1/2 until the 2nd bogus suit came out. Even after that, the stock still didn't sell off with authority. That being said, at least keep it on your watch list, and trade it if you feel necessary. Earnings are the 3rd week of October, and I honestly believe they will beat the pants off of revised estimates. The CEO is on top of the issue and is determined to see the company succeed. I have a VERY small position @ 6 1/4, and 1/8, after taking a loss from averaging down from 8. I took another position @ 1/4 and 1/8 after seeing REDI yesterday jump on the bid, after more panic selling occurred. Me included as witnessed here...http://www.siliconinvestor.com/readmsg.aspx?msgid=14410417 because I wasn't actually sure where the bottom was, and still not sure. But at these prices with the potential presented here, it's just to hard not to enter again at these prices. The stock is down from the 40's. I'm looking to load the boat, once the stock closes higher on 2 consecutive days. That will indicate a short term bullish trend, and you can bet the shorts will jump ship. Here's a chart, good luck and happy trading. stockcharts.com

Here is something for you to ponder. All were block trades within 10 minutes of opening. Are they buys or sells, I think they were sells. Questions is who supported the stock during runup. I don't think the fund managers sell for no reason or was it the MM's who dropped the stock taking all the stop losses of retail investors for the fund managers (by selling small amounts during after hours to get the big swing). Also, you and I know that INTC announcement was given to analysis before it was released (which explains the drop the last few days) I personally think this is not over yet until the fat lady sings ie: cisco earnings?
Large Blocks (sold or bought)first 20 minutes of open

INTC 25 million
UTX 250K
JDSU 1 million
BVSN 250K
CNXT 200K
CSCO 2.5 million
MSFT 4 million
QCOM 500K
