yep...there are even more arguments which the author didn't cite. for instance the $350 bn. which US based entities borrowed in the Euro capital markets over the most recent 12 month period. this carry trade carries with it the seeds of its own reversal...the flow of interest payments alone is bound to eventually overwhelm the slowing capital export.
