Like customer relationship management six months ago and e-commerce before that, the term "application service provider" is the industry moniker most in demand. Next week's Networld+Interop show in Atlanta will provide ample opportunity for vendors to get in the ASP game.
A number of industry heavyweights are planning announcements, if not as application hosts themselves, as enablers or infrastructure providers.......more at

Michael Dell's comments made page 1 of the WSJ interactive edition (Compaq made the same statement early morning Friday, why didn't they make pg1? IMO, both CPQ and DELL's comments should have been in the same headline)
