The $$ are no larger, nor are the risks higher than experienced by hundreds if not many hundreds of startups that have been tried over the past 20 years. Risk? You think Amazon, Yahoo, and others took less risk? Seems to me that the risk/rewards haven't presented themselves well. That's the long and short of it. I heard lots when I lived in Denver in the late 70's, early 80's about alternative energy sources, but they couldn't make it work economically in the real world. What's changed?
