Yes, I wasn't serious about the truck's horn.

About a quarter century ago, a friend's husband mounted a three foot long, chromed, truck horn on the hood of his (new) Camero. This thing was placed dead centre, and reached from the grille in front of the windshield to almost the leading edge of the bodywork surrounding the radiator (I don't know what this part is called), and stuck up about eight or nine inches -- right in the line of vision for both driver and passenger. He mounted the supporting hardware (air compressor, I think) under the hood. Anyway, this thing was as loud as a railway locomotive. Any superlatives used to describe this horn's sound would be inadequate if applied to how ridiculous it looked -- And on a brand-new car too, no less!

Whenever I hear a truck tooting, I think of this guy --- He loved his horn! I also think of his wife who would cover it with a green garbage bag when she went shopping (the car was blue) and remove it before her husband arrived home.

Thank-you for offering to help. I wasn't serious. Anyway, I drive a little sports car and doubt there's room for mounting a horn approaching the size of what's contemplated anywhere under my hood --- And I'm not about to put it anywhere visible.

Cheers, PW.
