Nihil,

Do you actually have a broker who lets you sell naked puts without margin?

Of course the sale of naked puts uses margin that is generated from the cash and equity in my account. But by utilizing a portion of this residual margin to generate income in return for assuming the limited risk of a calamity [INTC @ 40] that I would consider a buying opportunity, I believe that I have made my portfolio more efficient.

Not that such efficiency helps much if techs crash and burn, but I suspect that my break-even of $33 is as good a line in the sand as any. Could INTC break into the 20s in a severe correction? Possibly. But I doubt it would remain there for long. In selling the naked put, I simply enforce the discipline to step into the breach.
