FLACK, thanks for clearing up this peanuts confusion

Whenever someone said they made a peanut I thought they meant one thousand dollars(!) At least that's what I meant.

Whether a peanut is a dollar, a hundred dollars, or a thousand dollars, since nobody says how many shares someone else is trading it's probably best to say "I made 5 points on my INTC short" instead of "I made 5 peanuts on my INTC short."

Such lingo problems. Yesterday you had to explain cow, pig and pony, now we have this peanut discussion. Next you'll have to define the desert as "the portion of the trading day from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. EST."

BTW, how were the peanuts at the ball game?

As always,
