Haim--

What do you think Clinton's November release of SPR oil will do to those speculators you indicate have tankers loaded with crude waiting at sea? (Remember our oil on the water conversation?)

I think this is an attempt to shake the speculators from the market (aside from the obvious political gain.) It's all about perception.

The real problem for the new President will come post-November when the additional crude doesn't translate into lower heating oil or other distillate prices.

>>>Sam, you are so naive, any one who would send a complain with the appropriate remarks and evidence will end up being harassed by every agency under this administration control.

The laws in this country are so strict that you can be arrested for breathing. If they want to get you they get you and not even your death can save you.<<<

This can be said for ANY country.

The key is how you say it, where you say it and more importantly DO THEY CARE?

Every branch of government, every administrative agency gets literally thousands of complaints from individuals every day. So what?

Most of those people get nice form letter repsonses. A few get a follow-up letter. The lucky few get their specific problem addressed by the agency, but only if they were smart enough to CC all their congressmen.

On big matters of policy you get a nice form letter and a more specific answer is staffed-out to some low-level letter writer and arrives at a much later date if they bother at all.

If you're a foreigner like heinz you may never get an answere at all.

Warning to heinz: You better not set foot on American soil, son. Haim thinks they're out to get you. I think The Fed read your letter and chuckled "What a bright, perceptive fellow!" before they threw it in the trash.
