<<<Also, why has EFNT been doubling marketing expenses each Q?

Because they actually have sales forces in Asia and Europe (Amsterdam and Singapore) and are not relying on 3rd party alliances to get their foreign sales.

They've also been doubling THE SIZE of their REVENUE EACH Q for 2 of the past 3 QUARTERS? hello!!

They grew REVENUE 134% and 117% for 2 of those quarters? I believe until last Q, when Westell finally woke up they were growing like 20,30% a Q. Was someone late to the game? Hmm, our competitor is doubling business every 3 months and we are growing 20% a Q... hmmm why has this happened for 9 months... and then finally they got off their butts last Q.. congrats for 1 good Q, its now going to be followed up with a 15% sequential growth Q, hah.. so much for excellence and sustained growth. That is 1 way to win over Wall Street.. total inconsistency.

By the way to answer you other question 1 model I look at has $22M in Sales/Marketing for the next Q, but I ecpect it to be higher, maybe $24M. That will be a 33% increase.

I have no problem with that, do you see all the customer wins announced basically on a weekly basis? Thats why you have a sales force.... then again your CEo should know that because he comes from a sales background - but wait, you dont have the cash to spend on sales/marketing, in fact if not for the cash you sucked out of Teltrend you would probably be needing a secondary or debt offering right about now... oh yeh.
