--"Every time a leaf gets blown from a tree GST thinks the Ice Age is returning. It's an all-or-nothing proposition with GST. If Intel loses product and pricing focus competing with AMD and finds a face-saving excuse, then technology is a sell."

i haven't read a post from GST before today--had no idea whether he was a bear or raging bull. my response was to one of his posts which, to me, made some sense. as stated in my post--i am as bullish as they come with 100% of my $s in tech--i just think intc's earnings portends problems for other techs--whether its evident today or not. further i have seen troubles with a tech stock in one sector (eg computer chips) cast a pall on many seemingly non-related sectors--eg fiber, storage. it seems to me it is 50/50 that we'll see this mon or tues....(so i sold 1/2 my positions in 401k fri afternoon).

<<<GST won't tell us anything about his background. Not that it matters any more, but I think there isn't much.

why is his background so important ?
