This was not mentioned in your post. Also, the cost advantage of SuperFlash may be challenged by advanced MLC technology.>> Aus, it's so easy to speculate about what can and will happen in the future.. I could easily say that since the SmartMedia standard was released royalty free, that it'd have a favorable cost structure compared to CF, but.. that again is speculation.. what's the point of pointing out the disadvantages of the other, just to make your investment seem better? There is NO investment that's bulletproof.. that's what risk is all about. You can't be ignorant and not fully understand the potential things in the industry that will have a negative impact on the company, but at the same time.. I could come up with arguments on ANY company as to why it'd be a poor investment. Regarding your statement about MLC, that remains to be seen.. the licensing agreements haven't slowed down, nor have the shipments.. <<My arguments may be "faulty" and I am prepared to eat crow when the time comes. I still feel SanDisk is the better long-term investment for many reasons that I have already tried to define exhaustively. In any case, only time will tell who is at fault here.>> SNDK is not a bad investment! :D I wouldn't say it's better, though.. you and I surely aren't Nostradumus, and we can't predict which company will perform better from a stock price perspective.. I don't believe that either of us will be unhappy 1-2 years from now! I might even be happier if I invest some in SNDK, but I haven't done my DD enough to make that decision. <<I have yet to hear a compelling argument for Internet connectivity making flash memory obsolete. Any discussion first needs to begin with an assessment of feasibility. That has been totally lacking by those who have posted such arguments here previously. I personally feel Internet connectivity will significantly increase the demand for removable flash. I still don't understand how Bluetooth will factor into the demand for data storage given the limited range of this technique.>> Once again, the whole point of mentioning that to you was to show you how you're looking at SSTI.. anyone can choose to "pump" up their stock by pointing out potential flaws in another company. I'm not looking to be a SNDK bear.. I like the company and the concept.. but you're not being fair to yourself by doing this.. I can sit and throw rocks at SNDK all day, if I really needed to, but that's not the point.. see what I'm saying? <<It is my general impression that 3G connectivity and Bluetooth are frequently referred to by "short hypsters" who wish to plant seeds of doubt in the minds of SNDK investors.>> No offense, but for you to not have some doubt about SNDK is unhealthy.. you need to be objective about stocks.. I hope this message is received in the friendly tone in which I've wrote it, I refuse to have a mean-spirited argument.. :) all the best, docpaul
