Re: "LOLOL...what a joke...yeah he's not losing any....all those AMD boxes I see in the stores are just fakes!!! Matrix type stuff...not reality"

Fred, before you get too excited you should realize that Intel's manufacturing rate for state of the art CPUs is about 10x AMD's. The fact that you see lots of Athlon systems in retail stores doesn't as much as you seem to think. That's not the heart of the market. Corporate sales and direct sales far outnumber retail sales. Athlon has essentially zero presence in corporate America. Zero presence in the server market, zero in the SMP market and they are quickly disappearing from the mobile market where Athlon has zero presence as well. Low margin K6 sales are hardly a source of significant income.

It's always times like this when vultures show up to do their bashing and pick the bones. You were expected and after you get your fill you will leave. The sooner the better.

FredE, <his exact words: "I don't think so." Don't sound very convincing....>

Craig Barrett is fond of speaking in mild, euphemistic terms. What are you looking for, panache? Listen to Jerry Sanders, Scott McNealy, or Larry Ellison if you want more of that.

Freddie - Re: "all those AMD boxes I see in the stores are just fakes!!! Matrix type stuff...not reality."

How many of those boxes are two-way Servers?

How many of those boxes are Four -way Servers?

How many of those boxes are eight-way Servers?

How many of those boxes are 550 MHz or higher notebooks?
