Dear Scumbria:

We have an excellent Biotech zone here in UW Madison. It is also a major R&D area for Fusion Research. WIsconsin also had the only two supercomputer companies in the world manufacture in the same city (Chippewa Falls).

The only safe area against earthquakes is in the Wolf River Batholith here in North Central Wisconsin. It has been stable for the last 2 to 3 billion years. Both of the ultra low wave transcievers for nuclear subs are in the Clam Lake area (on the batholith). But be forewarned, environmental regulations are tougher here than the "spill it and we'll look the other way" west.
