I think we are seeing an unplanned experiment unfold for testing the validity of your price survey and report. And It seems it is passing the test very well. And if in fact your price discovery method is a good current indicator, we ought to see steeper price rises in the next several weeks. The DD industry is still being supplied from pre-flood head inventory and the 6 weeks of finished drives in the channel. So it will take weeks to work through that. But then the same forces that drove disk prices to absurd low level, will hopefully do the reverse. It happened with oil, and it happens many times to various kinds of chips and electronic components. I don't think disks are fundamentally different. After all, they're just a commodity, right!
