That offering is really "unbelievable".

is at least troubling. In effect one bond purchaser writes a blank check, in return for what? A prospective yield of 15 to 20%, due at the end of a bond, subject to changes and adjustments without notice in advance?

I compare it with my personal holdings of zero coupon bonds for my pension insurance. From time to time, I buy long term zeros in speculative currencies like the south african rand in small amounts as they trade at 3%, 4% for 30 years and 8 to 10% for 20 years maturities. So the invested amount for E100.000 is considerably low.
But the difference is that the bond issuers are investment grade leaving me only with the currency risk.
