Ed,

... it's nearly the end of the quarter and hardly anyone has submitted their guesses...

Yes and pre-announcement season has just ended for AMD and Intel. Q3 is arguably the most back-end loaded quarter of the annual sales year. A lot of significant information seems to pop out in the last three weeks of the quarter -- any quarter, but especially the third quarter. To me, this is information that can turn a WAG into an educated guess at the very least.

Heck, Goutama even recognizes this and hasn't submitted his own entry. In the past few weeks I've adjusted so many elements of my model that it looks as though I'm doing a manual Monte Carlo simulation in slow motion. >:-(

The worst of it is settling on the stock price. I don't share NG's indefatigable optimism for the immediate future.

Ed,

Come on guys, it's nearly the end of the quarter and hardly anyone has submitted their guesses for Goutama's contest.

I can not comment. I am currently in my quiet period.

Pravin.
