For sure, the wildcard in Q3 is the Duron...but AMD did the right thing by focusing on 800 MHz and above...no matter the number of Durons in Q3 as Durons are now, to use a popular expression on this thread, "flooding" the market, and will own their niche, as implied by you, in Q4. The higher MHz focus in Q3 has ensured record profits for a 4th successive quarter!!! I'm a little more optimistic about the rather heady 3.6 million (i.e. up from 1.8 million in Q2) Q3 target being achieved, particularly in light of the recent Tiny and Micron announcements...Personally, I think AMD's biggest potential future problem is not being able to meet what is highly likely to be an exploding demand for Athy product in Y2001!!!
