didn't AMD publicly state that Durons were sold-out for Q3 as far back as the Q2 conference call?

I think that what we have been hearing about people double ordering Intel processors when they were in short supply, so that they had a better chance of getting what they needed, has some truth to it. If they were double ordering form Intel, they could have also been double ordering from AMD. AMD could have thought that they were sold out, but then had cancelations when supply eased. Hope that is not the case, but it is quite possible.
