Try again Dan. AMD hopes to manufacture 3.6 Million K7s in Q3. Intel manufactured ~32 Million CPUs in Q2, nearly all CuMines. No doubt more in Q3.

I don't know directly what AMD's defect density is. I can only estimate from the anemic number of CPUs they are able to produce from 2 large fabs. I have very good reason to believe Intel's yields are in a class by themselves. It's pretty well known throughout the industry.
