But I guess I really needn't worry. After all, if Gore can invent the Internet, surely he can invent a way to resolve all of our energy problems. Tench, Gore has been pushing on environmental concerns for a number of years. It has to be one of the most unrewarding missions on this planet. Most people have a positive knee jerk reaction to environmentalism until you get to the hard questions like old growth vs new growth, energy from dams vs saving the salmon, air quality vs having 3 cars in every garage. I mean our Congress has yet to ratify the rather weak tenets agreed upon at the enviromental summit in Japan a couple of years ago. I can think of a lot of issues that would have been much easier for him to undertake. But he has stuck with it and been insulted for it. ted
