The only thing this move was intended to smooth was to the path to Ice Tea Al's inauguration.

There is alot of oil on the way in the oil tankers, this move will smooth things over till
then.

<<The 30 million barrels is alot more than 2 days of heating oil for the NE.>>

According to the UP story in my paper today our refineries go through 14 million barrels a day. Lets see... 30 million divided by 14 million is 2 plus .1428571. That takes us to what 2am the third day? Boy, that's a lot.

PS. A lot is two words.

No, but it lowers the cost, which was the immediate issue.....If the barrels are to be targeted, perhaps so, I don't know the rate of regional consumption for heating oil. If they are just for general release, as I said, it is less than two days worth, and unlikely to make a big difference......Since OPEC is increasing production, I do not know what to anticipate. But it will be interesting to watch......
