Just read some analyst talking about annual global microprocessor needs of 200 million units...In a market that large and with the superior price/performance Athy product, AMD is certain to be capacity constrained for a long while, imho, with or without significant inroads into the server space this year or next...Thoughts of selling Dresden 1 year ago to thoughts of purchasing additional fab space this year is surely a strong indicator of management's optimism in this regard...Rising ASP's and production levels are the double whammy that is going to reap huge rewards for AMD and its shareholders...AMD, imho, will not be able to meet Athy demand in Y2001, whether its in the consumer, mobile, workstation or server space...
